My technique if, you can call it that, or style if you prefer is to structure drawings to attempt to achieve the likeness that I want. I do not use a projector as I feel that is a form of tracing not that there may an occasion for scaling up a sketch or perhaps as an illustrator working to deadlines where a shortage time and accuracy may be of essence. I prefer to place the line where I believe I feel it should be rather than mechanically reproducing an image for the sake of accuracy.
No one has taught me how to draw. It is something I have been able to do from an early age but only recently have I taken up painting. In some respects I paint the same way as I draw whether that is good or bad I do not know but I have benefited from helpful instruction from the tutors of the local college. I know I have some way to go before I can say that I am in any way competent but I enjoy it and I hope you can appreciate my efforts.
